Ridden Trail: Every few months
| |
Reviewed by: Gary Pond
, from The area Summary: This consists of approximately 75 acres with three main loop trains and a few smaller ones. Surprisingly moderately challenging in places with tree roots protuding from single track trails but very small. This is really more suited for a casual weekend stroll with a loved one. A power line runs concurrent with the trails and offers a little more biking but this is very boggy and marshy in the low parts. Don't go out of your way to visit these trails but if you happen to be biking in the area, stop in for a 15 min stroll because that's all you'll need to cover it. Recommended Route: From I95, get off at Route 110 exit. Go west about 2-3 miles. Look for and take Kimball road on your right. Go about a mile or so and look for the sign on your right. Other recommended trails in the same area: Travel 10-15 min more south on Route one and visit Rowley-Georgetown state forest as well as Willowdale and Bradley Palmer in Ipswich. Go another ten miles and hit Lynn woods for the ultimate challenge but this can be very crowded evenings and weekends.
