There several trails, including one that circles the lake and various branch off into the mountain.
Summary: we've been upgrading the trails here Quite a bit over the past year. you must find the unmarked trails off the loop for the most technical sections.
it's best to meet up with the locals to find the locals only trail we've been working on. this is by far the best in the park but it's not off the lakeside loop so not to easy to find.
Recommended Route: find a local have a blast on the renegades.
Other recommended trails in the same area: accident- big bear- coopers rock- ligonear-

Summary: This trail has been nicely upgraded as a singletrack loop around the lake. It is quite technical with lots of rock gardens, roots, log jumps and dips and turns. Lots of fun but no real climbing on the lake loop. There are a few spurs off the loop that offer tight, twisty singletrack, short but steep descents and challenging obstacles. This trail has become popular and well used and maintained. Lots of fun!
Recommended Route: Clockwise or counter- both fun. Look for branch loops off the trail, especially near the campground and the dam to extend the ride. Look for the Evitt Mt. Homesite trail starting in the campground for a challanging hillclimb.
Other recommended trails in the same area: Green Ridge State Forest

Ridden Trail: Ridden Once

Summary: The trail is a sometimes rocky double track. Lots of baby heads to pick your way through. A nice steady climb for most riders. Beginners may not like some of the rocky sections. If someone could build some singletrack it would be sweet. There is a nice view at the top, were the pipeline cuts through the mountain. Bombing down the pipeline could also be fun, it has a very steep pitch.
Recommended Route: I only did the Evitts homesite trail. I started from the campsite, went up past the homesite, and on to a gas pipeline. Then back down the way I came. According to their website, "This is an ambitious trail that climbs about 1,000 feet in elevation in 2.5 miles." Past the homesite, may be more than 2.5 miles, I'm not sure because I don't carry a computer. It seemed like a short and easy ride to me.
