Ridden Trail: Please Select

, from Owings Mills Summary: Quiet trail - I use to live down the street and I would take my dog biking. Great view and plenty of room for the dog to run and swim. Flat - a good trail for the novice mountain biker or a great running, walking trail. Recommended Route: Main Trail

, from Catonsville Summary: As Steve and one other person stated this trail is pretty good. However, this trail is not limited to 1.5 or 2 miles..it is what you make it in more ways than other trails. There are at least 30 trail heads along a 4 mile strech in this valley...when you see a road or an apparent deadend realize your mistaken..LOOKAROUND...ENJOY Recommended Route: OK...I've started writing on BBS's b/c noone seems to listen...I have a lot of respect for "Steve" so I I'll just get right into the dirt...And I do mean the dirt, not the mud. I run this stuff 6-7 days a week...do u:) Other recommended trails in the same area: Please do NOT use these trails in the rain_IM_A_Runner_of_these trails for the past 10-15 years and I can see the compaction and erosion taking place from the bikersTIA;->

Ridden Trail: Once a week

Reviewed by: Mark
, from Ellicott City Summary: I don't quite know what this other reviewer is talking of... six to eight miles of trails? There are two main trails, one is about 1.5 miles, the other less than a mile and they do intersect at certain points. The trail is rocky and hilly with not much down time to catch your breath. It's somewhat unmaintained because their are logs fallen all over blocking the trail. There is a paved double hill when you first turn left at the end of Church lane. This is great for repeated hill intervals because the grade is pretty steep. All in all this is nice because it's brutal and short but not the best place for long rides. It's also nice because their are usually no other bikers riding or even many people walking the trails...though do beware and take heed with non-mountain bikers. Thanks. -Mark Recommended Route: This is down the street from where I live. Other recommended trails in the same area: Avalon and McKeldin, but don't abuse them. Especially after it rains.
