Lach Raven at Seminary Rd

Starts with a section of fireroad but soon branches off to twisty, rooted singletrack. These trails continue past Providence Rd. and end at the lower dam.
Take 695 to Dulaney Valley Rd. exit just north of Towson. Head north for close to a mile. Make a left at the light at the intersection of Dulaney Valley and Seminary and park at the church to the right or along the road just before the church parking lot. Cross back through the intersection on Seminary and the trail will begin on your left.
Summary: i like these traills alot vary eveywhere i live right next to them and ride everyday back there and it is really great and cant find anything wrong with it i would like some drops and more tech stuff though. if you look hard enough in te woods there is some nice singletrack with motocross style whoops and everything its kool
Recommended Route: all

Summary: i ride here a couple times a week because i can ride straight from my house to the trails. its pretty fast stuff but there are some challenging sections and it is always a good workout. my favourite loop is 16 miles with very little backtracking and there are even more possible routes to explore. watch out for watermoccasins i was grazed by one as i rode across a small stream.scary-i didnt even see the fang marks til the next day but it stung like shit!
Recommended Route: enter from seminary road and get lost for hours
Other recommended trails in the same area: robert e lee is not bad

Summary: this place is alright. If you like fast, rolling, hardpacked, narrow, singletrack thats not too technical this place is for you. However, if like myself, you prefer a technical, steep, and even faster ride like Gambrill..........go to Gambrill. I might have had more fun though if we didn't go with my friends older brother and his buddy. They get on the bikes maybe twice a month so it really turned into a training ride, chasing them, catching them, letting them go for a minute, then catching them again.........bah.
Recommended Route: The one you ride
Other recommended trails in the same area: GAMBRILL, Avalon, Mckeldin

Summary: Like I said --Combinations are limitless--but you really cant get lost all trails lead into eachother and to roads
Recommended Route: Park on Providence rd. on the right hand side (before you get into the resevoir property, just before you hit loch raven drive)ride down Providence trail starts on your left. There are so many different trails back there the combinations are limitless. Great single track, build-up logs etc. Some of it gets really muddy though so give it a few days after it rains( I'm talking about not even fun muddy. No tire traction or anything) there is also a great trail on the right side when you are riding down Providence, this takes you down to below the little dam.---Have fun and ride hard!( But go easy on the trails-single track is delicate!)
Other recommended trails in the same area: Hit up the Dulaney Valley circle( as I call it) Thats pretty much the best loch raven has to offer--just theses 2--Otherwise Potapsco( Avalon)
