Cross Country Rider Summary: Who ever wrote the previous review has no idea what they're talking about. The trail is hilly and technical, if you get on at the delaney valley road trail head. It's MOSTLY technical singletrack, if you know where you're going. Recommended Route: Get on at delaney valley road (before the bridge heading away from Towson. Go to the right hand trail and start climbing. Other recommended trails in the same area: Patapsco valley state park Avalon area.

Cross Country Rider Summary: I rode the West side of the reservoir. It was fireroad but I found some of the singletrack. There are some tough hills, but technically it was not much. The trail was boring - no twists or turns, just some climbing. I think the other side is supposed to be more challenging and maybe the seminary loop is better, but this provided me no incentive to return. Recommended Route: Not Merriman's loop

Cross Country Rider Summary: This trail system rocks, just like all Baltimore area trails. You don't have to go to PA to get a great work-out close to home. This loop has hills, roots, log piles, rocky fire roads, and bald eagles. Recommended Route: I like to do this route counter clock-wise. It is more ridable in this direction for x-country riders. As at most places it's hard to describe a route. Check this place out, you may get lost but you won't be disappointed with it's challenges. Other recommended trails in the same area: Loch Raven - Seminary Rd
