Weekend Warrior Summary: This is a bunch of nice jumps, about 11 or 12 in all, with a nice quarter and wall ride, bowl that is good when not filled with water. the longest set of jumps is a six pack (group of three jumps/landings) of smallish jumps closely packed, fun to ride, to the far right as you're looking away from the crescent trail. on the far left is a set of 3 bigger jumps, much more spaced, with a nice double at the end. if you wish to jump just the double, you can hit the burm around a tree and run up to it. then there is a nice dual slalom -ish thing, starting with a jump right in the middle then two burms, then a 7 foot gap jump, then the biggest jump, over a 10 foot gap, shooting you about 6-10 feet high. there is a bit more, but otherwise not that amazing.
this is a must visit place if you like dirt jumping, otherwise known as the "cc jumps"
one more thing, please dont do any digging on any of the lines. we dont want them to get messed up. Recommended Route: coming from DC on the crescent trail, cross mass. ave. on a small bridge, then keep riding until you are almost at a big bridge over river road. to the right, next to the cinderblock factory is a bench and a steep uphill trail. follow the trail and you'll reach the jumps.
the tight six pack is pretty small but fun and you can launch on the last one if you do it right. the first two in the set on the right arent great, but the last ones pretty nice Other recommended trails in the same area: 495 jumps in northern virginia, i dont know what they're called on this forum

Cross Country Rider Summary: Came to visit Bethesda and decided to hunt down this trail. Found it with minimal searching. Got up to the top of the hill and immediately noticed all the painted trees. Some had smilies while some told me to '**** off' or 'stay out'. Unfortuantly I was riding a bike not suited to the jumps, so I couldn't fully try out the lips or such. Like prior reviewers have mentioned, the North Shore bridges arn't terribly great (or safe for that matter). Their is plenty of stuff for all skill levels; beginners would like the berms and small 'log jumps', for lack of better word. There is alot to go big on--might want to just put caution to the wind and give it a go. I took pictures while there, and will upload them shortly. BMX'ers would probably enjoy this prime dirt as well.
Good luck. Recommended Route: Take the Capital Crescent trail from Bethesda heading towards Mass. avenue. You will cross one bridge (a flat one), then finally a larger sloped bridge going over Mass Ave. About 1/4th of a mile past the bridge lies a park bench on the lefthand side. Behind that bench should be a super-steep hill. At the top lies the jumps.
