Ridden Trail: Once a month

Weekend Warrior Summary: I’ve ridden this trail a few times. The most technical thing about these trails is avoiding parents with little kids. If you don’t like paying the fee in the summer you can use some of the local roads to get to the trails. To avoid little kids, I recommend riding back near the shooting range or (even better) going to the Greenway Trail off of 355 – muddier rockier and much less kids. Recommended Route: Greenway Other recommended trails in the same area: Little Bennett, C&0, Gambrill

, from Concord, MA Summary: Just got back from the lake loop, its ok, pretty good for beginners, good for a workout but nothing technical. Nice mud, good alternative to Schaffers when its closed due to rain. Recommended Route: Have only done the big lake loop

, from Silver Spring, MD Summary: It's a good trail for every rider. Beginners can take it slow and easy. My dad did it on a hybrid. Recommended Route: I've only ridden the short loop. It's really great with lots of logs and downhills.

, from St. Peters, MO Summary: Have ridden twice, will be going back. $2/person but worth it if staying all day. Main lake trail heavy with hikers. Park and get a map at boat dock. Find trails in back for less traffic. Some log crossings, few light technical sections, quick and fun singletrack. Good intro to trail riding. Recommended Route: I-270 to Clopper Rd (117) West. Follow for approximately two miles to the park gates on the left. Other recommended trails in the same area: Recent resident. Checking them 1 by 1.

, from bethesda Summary: This place is OK...pretty easy...good for beginners. But be careful of the smaller trees that have been gnawed down by beavers...a guy we were riding with a few weeks ago wiped out and impaled his thigh on one of those things...it was a major pain in the ass getting the EMTs to find us in the woods...bring a cell phone! Recommended Route: None Other recommended trails in the same area: Schaefer...really easy, but better than nothing.
