Cross Country Rider Summary: Went out yesterday and parked down just across the bridge. Took the trail that went to the Trout Pond. Found the fireroads and they found my granny gears! A lot of horse damange which must of been from the farm that is east of the trail. I only found about 3 miles of trail and thought there might be more but after looking for about 2 hours I just ended back at the same spot. Below the "fatty" powerlines there seems to be more riding but I am not sure if that is still park property. On the other side of the road I still did not see any more trails. So to sum this up if you are looking for a quick ride with a 5 mile loop, try it out. I was not impressed except for that purpose. You might see that I have tried to fix some of the logs on the fire road to make them rideable. Recommended Route: Once you get to the trout pond head left. Do not go up the hill on the right. Once you go left you will hit the fireroad again. Go up the hill and either contiune down the fire road, or keeping looking on your right for a covered up trail/water shed. I hit about 15 MPH down hill there. You are now back to the trail where you started. Do it again and this time do not take the trail on the right from the fireroad. Keep going by all the downed trees and try your luck on a steep downhill. Other recommended trails in the same area: Little Bennett

Cross Country Rider Summary: My first ride in this area was great! great except for the guy who threw sticks at me. Oh and the guy with the sweet klein and even sweeter mullet (next time try and make some room when folks want to pass you--fatty!) Back to the trails. One medium length section of rocky-gnarly-nasty-singletrack...was so good i'll be back for sure. This is no place for race tires, you NEED 2.3"s if you wanna keep yer teeth! got it? There are also some pretty nasty drop offs that really sneak up on you...Above all BE CAREFUL--live to ride another day Recommended Route: It's really all consistently good and technical, scary even!--has some of the most technical climbing anywhere (and i'm from new england!) Try to avoid all "nouveau riche" on their silly cannondale's and kleins and treks and...you get the picture, fat guys that wannabe hardcore riders. Other recommended trails in the same area: I LOVE gambrill in fredrick, and Schaffer farms is okay for takin' it easy...

And remember, 'i' before 'e' except after 'c'. Recommended Route: The one that leads to a bar. This place blows. Other recommended trails in the same area: Don't go anywhere near this area. Bring a piece.
