Evergreen Cemetary

3 of 5
If you go to the back of the cemetary, you'll find several trailheads leading into a mess of double and single track. There's some mega rooty, some rocky, some muddy and some super hardpacked. There's even a couple small drops hidden around. It's not a big challenge, but its fun to hit for an hour or two.
Summary: Evergreen Cemetery has trails branching out from the pond in several directions. Following the dirt road behind the pond, you can turn left at the first opportunity and climb up a rock face and follow a trail strewn with rocks and ledges about a half mile where it ends at a cul de sac. There are trails branching off this that drop down to a parallel wide dirt path that starts and ends in the same locations.
It's a fun place to spend some time on the rocks, but you can ride it all in an hour or less. Very easy riding if you stay on the dirt paths.
Recommended Route: Don't use the map on this page, it's showing a location in Lewiston, about a half hour away.
Other recommended trails in the same area: Much better riding is to be found on the Presumscot River Trail if you are riding in Portland.
Bradbury Mountain State Park has over 30 miles of sweet singletrack in Pownal, about a half hour north of Portland.
