Maranacook high school is about 8 miles west of Interstate 95 (Maine Turnpike) on ME 17. Get off the turnpike at exit 30. The high school is at the top of Maranacook lake, about half way in between Readfield Center (Flashing Yellow Light, ME 41) and Readfield Depot (Railroad Track). Each of these is about a mile away. Drive in on the access road and park in the parking lots.

Summary:
There are numerous kinds of trails in this area. Most are well maintained and many are singletrack. It is a good place to explore and there is more than enouogh for a good ride. The terrain ranges from easy to difficult; many of the trails cross Tingley Brook, which flows through the trails. There is a high school race here and the trails are cut year-round...

Recommended Route:
I don't know this trail wel enough to give a great description, but there are several trailheads, one of which is across a bridge which traverses Tingley Brook (which flows through the area) and another which it directly behind the school (near some XC skiing grooming equipment). There is yet another to the west of the school and may be another from the old Readfield fairgrounds.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Kents Hill, Mount Pisgah
