Greely Loop
1 reviews
 3 of 5

10 mile loop of single track, climbs, technical sections and a few road crossings. Start a short climb going west out of the dead end parking area. Take your first left for some fast singletrack downhill. Follow the single track trail for 4-5 miles. Then follow the trail via snowmobile signs. Eventually you cross back over Greely Extension. Go left back the road to get back to your car. Otherwise, cross the road, off to your left you will see the trail continue. Pick it up again and follow the snowmobile signs. Eventually you will come to powerlines. Go left, follow the the powerlines for a few miles. Eventually you will get to a long uphill. At the top go left, and you will loop back to where you parked. Eventually you will find your car again (or at least Greely Ext.). Good luck!

Summary:
at the end of greely rd, park in a 'turn-around' just below the driveway to a house. the trail is clearly visible, starting with a steep climb. dirt, mud, grass and lots of small rocks here. once you reach the top take a right and find the small single track path in the grass leading into the woods. after a series of ups, downs and hard turns you arrive at a small opening with a vehicle-worn path. stay right and follow that path back into the woods. its mostly downhill with some large puddles ( there are already ways to get around them without de-biking) and lots of dirt and mud. this brings you to the 'powerline' section of the trail. once you hit the power lines take the first right downhill. time to haul ass. watch the drops and large rocks. re-enter the woods and watch for fallen trees and such. eventually you will see a large pond/lake type deal and on most days will have to get off your bike and walk around the overflow-puddles. the path continues alongside the pond/lake. at one point you pass a small wooden bridge that leads to someone's house and you can lose the path after that, but just keep heading in the same general direction ...:::... Recommended Route:
and you will end up at a gravel road. follow the road left and you're back at greely rd. take a right and up the hill is the spot you parked.

I really enjoy this trail and usually ride it twice or three times before going home. riding hard you can complete it in about 20 minutes. sounds short but it has a lot to offer. anyone can enjoy this ride regardless of biking expertise. great little loop. watch for ticks and minor injuries.
