Cross Country Rider Summary: Back Country Excursions is something that all mountain bikers should experience.
We spent the last weekend at the annual Bike and Brew fest. Beer, Bikes, Buds… what could be better? Actually, the experience was even more fulfilling than I had expected.
BCE is not a campground festival with vendors and a Disco Tent (like Pedro’s). The experience was much more intimate and personal. We got to really interact with the other bikers there… some from PA, Mass, NJ, and of course a few locals.
On the trails, I soon realized that all the folks we were riding with were experienced, capable riders which made the group ride experience a really good one. We joked and bonded on the trails and back at the lodge over tasty micro-brews.
The trails; The single track at BCE is really well thought out. These are not hiking trails or game trails turned into MTB trails, but designed with one thing in mind… rhythm. Fast swoopy switchbacks, crazy steep descents, and an assortment of interesting stunts make this experience a truly great one.
Cliff runs the show, he is passionate about his business, the environment and of course mountain biking.
Recommended Route: I would just get you lost...

Racer Summary: 8/15/07 I attended the 14th annual MTB fest this past weekend. It was my first mountain bike experience. I consider myself an avid urban roady. The rides lasted about 2 hours each. Cliff, the guide owner and guide support staff offered at least two rides each day. He was most accommodating to me, the least skilled rider, while offering the most experienced all the white knuckles they wanted. BCE offered plenty of single track and a variety of stunts on the single track and a theme park experience on the BCE property itself. All were well maintained. This event opened me to a whole new cycling experience. I would visit BCE again.
Recommended Route: Don't have any. Other recommended trails in the same area: Don't have any.

Cross Country Rider Summary: Yo! This is the trail for anybody!!!!! I am not kidding...my brother who is crazy, has been trying to get me to go with him for a while and this year I was able to pull it off. Wow! 1st Clif has a nice cozy layout on the camp site and it is the home of the "Rock n Log Palace" with more jump stuff then you can shake a LOG at. The place is equipped as well, there are latrines and a shower. Each of the camp sub sites has a fire pit/camp fire area for the cooler times of the day. Clif and his band of trail burners are super friendly and very knowledgeable. I being a beginner was in need of some serious help and Clif’s friend Kate was awesome in that department! Hey Kate hope things are cool where you are at. They cook home made meals that are really good and good for ya too. This place can handle the 1st timers like me and the psycho people like my brother who are all about the “AIR”. The trails are well cared for and have fun for all. The scenery also is the tops. Bring a camera and bring some munchies! After a day of riding you will need it! Recommended Route: Sorry Don't have a route for yah but here is the web site http://www.bikebackcountry.com/ Other recommended trails in the same area: In the Trails department Be ware of the "Morning Wakeup" and a Nice ride there also is "Quilted Northern" these are trains they have there.

Cross Country Rider Summary: This place has some of the best singletrack I've ridden. There's trails for all skill levels, and for the daring, there is an ever growing taste of log ramps and aperatice from British Columbia. Recommended Route: Go to their website, email them with your location, and they'll tell you the best route from where you are. or just call. http://www.bikebackcountry.com/
