Summary:
Very short at 4 mi (out & back). Not very technical at all but a nice roll through beautiful old growth pine forest. Lake (small) has camping/bath facilities and is an excellent spot to bbq or to cool down with a dip. There is also a very short loop trail next to the lake, so area great for beginners or someone bringing kids along. Be wary of mildew-slick bridges!

Recommended Route:
You can access from either Hwy 165 or 8/167. Can also park at one trailhead at Ward 8 Ballpark in Pollock, but I recommend the lake.

Summary:
On the Catahola District of the Kisatchie National Forest, you get to see the forest, with any luck you will run across wildlife such as Louisiana Black Bear, deer, raccoon, beaver, possum, birds, field mice & more! Stuart Lake is very small, with small campground in the super rural Grant Parish which has no traffic signals (only blinking yellow signals in GP) so there is not alot of competition on the trail, and you can set your pace and ride in peace.

Recommended Route:
the entire trail & back it's only about 4mi

Other recommended trails in the same area:
the Azalea Trail south of Alexandria

Summary:
SIngletrack that goes thru a nice section of forest. It has a bridge which crosses the very small lake.the only drawback is that the trail is just too short. another 15 miles of this same kind of trail and it would be a 5 star but due to its short length. I give it a 3.

Recommended Route:
Its short so just go out and back. You ride on some of the passing fire roads to make it more interesting.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Kincaid Lakeshore, Wild Azalea Trail,
