Summary:
For as flat as LA is these trails kick ass. There are a good number of double tracks (I think 8 or so). Then are about twice as many single tracks. Double tracks are fun and fast. the single tracks are just as fun to figure out as they are to ride. Sometime you might confuse the natural washout for the trail and sometimes it is the trail just have fun with it. if you get lost on a single go straight you'll hit a double track soon enough. Trail beginings are well marked by either a red arrow for double tracks or orange tape for the single tracks. Some have good jumps but they are all right before a hard right or a tree. Really fun to jump if you have good brakes otherwise you'll end up slamming into tree. Just ask my cousin. Hahaha. Some of the trails have a bit of dead fall that will test you bunny hopping skills so be ready. Again you can ask my cousin about the importance of this skill. Hahaha. Even on a wet day it is still fun, this place has mostly a clay or sandy foundation so there isn't a lot of mud. What mud is there I found and managed to fall into. Quite refreshing after riding for 30 min. Haha. End of the trail is on 400 acres of land and it's pretty hard to get lost. if you hit the creek turn around that will get you back to the begining. The trails are all under heavy tree growth so the sun doesn't beat down too hard. There is a bike wash, air compressor, a place to fill your water bottle with some of the coldest ground water south of the artice circle. They even have unisex restrooms. (wooo hoo!) Which will come in every handy after a hard night of drinking followed by an equally hard day of riding. thank God almost every trail leads to the front. The people that run tha place are really nice and help full. They have an excellent map they provide you with. I would go ride here again tomorrow if i could lots of fun and very nice place to ride with plenty of parking.
Final comment: This place is alot harder to get to than it is to get around. Since it is hard to find it doesn't seem to be ridin a whole lot so most of the trails are a little over grown at spots. But it doesn't spoil any of it. Great place!

Recommended Route:
Take I55 to exit 57 Hwy 440. Bring an indian guide or drop bread crumbs. Watch the sighs because LA road worker like to move 440 just to see if you paying attention. take a right on travis lane and go till you can't go anymore. Get out pay the man and go ride.

None this place is about 60 miles from any other decent place to ride.

Summary:
Truly a fun trail. Louisiana is just not the place for mountain biking. If you miss having elevation, you might check this place out. There isn't much elevation, but at least there is something. Fun downhills. It doesn't look like it gets ridden much, so a lot of the trails are a bit overgrown. Worth the drive? yep. I'm not used to paying a fee to ride though, but i guess it's worth it since i have almost no other options in this part of the country.

Recommended Route:
Do the whole thing. If you do every trail at a moderate clip, it will take about 1.5 hours. They give you a handy map when you pay. All trails are clearly marked.

Summary:
This really is a great place to ride. Not nearly as tough or intimidating as Clear Springs, Mississippi, I would have to say the word is FUN. The trails are well maintained, smooth and fast. The single tracks aren't the most technical around, but still quite enjoyable. The trail head is a major plus. They have restrooms, hot showers as well as pick nick tables, and its really a nice area. The owners are VERY nice people... they even let us use their pool one time! Check this place out for a nice weekend ride with friends and family.

Recommended Route:
There is a great downhill (with no sand) if you take trail 7 from trail 1. Also, my favorite single track is right at the junction of 7 and 1.

Summary:
This set of trails has it all from mind numbing technical single track to rolling double track. Everyone in accomadated to whatever skill level they are. It's fun for the whole family.
