Cross Country Rider Summary: This is a great trail. Not too long, only about 6 miles, but they are adding more to it presently. A great mix of terrain, including long fast downhills and good hard uphills. The rollers at the end are a good challenge and lots of fun. It can be nasty when it's wet, so be careful about that. If you're in the area, definitely check it out. Recommended Route: Start at the bottom of the hill at the small parking lot on the left side of the road. Take the trail heading out to the left, past the bench and over the little bridge. When you get to the top of the hill, cross the road and stay to the left, you'll come back here and cross back over the road later on. Other recommended trails in the same area: Lincoln Parish Park in Ruston, Claiborne State Park near Homer, The Monkey Trail at Eddie D. Jones Park south of Shreveport, Caney Lakes Trails north of Minden, there's lots of good riding in this area.

Cross Country Rider Summary: Rode this trail for the first time ever a couple weeks ago. Overall I think it's a pretty fun trail. Not very long and with very little traffic it sometimes was difficult finding where to go (we rode a couple sections twice). I hear LOCO is going to do some work on this trail this winter and make it longer which will be nice. Can be ridden by any level of rider. Recommended Route: We went in on the left side of parking lot and came out on the right...so clockwise! Other recommended trails in the same area: Ruston

Cross Country Rider Summary: If you haven't ridden Bodcau in the last 9 months, I HIGHLY advise you do so! The trail has been legnthend a little and several new technical goodies have been added in. If you are new to the trail, I'd advise you check the Louisiana Off-road Cycling Organization's website (LOCO). You can find it at www.locomtb.com
Hook up with a rider who will introduce the trail to you. Also, during the spring/summer and fall months, there is a regularly scheduled LOCO group ride at Bodcau starting at 6PM at the campground (trail head). Other recommended trails in the same area: Ride the The Monkey Trail (Eddie Jones Park)for some serious FUN!!!
Ruston always ROCKS!
