Weekend Warrior Summary: The trail has its technicalities, but is hindered mostly by the utter lack of maintenance. The small technical parts are nice when they come, but unfortunately, most technicality is born by the lack of maintenance. It was sloppy and unkempt. I had two flats in 10min of riding. With a little maintenance and mild rerouting it could be a great little place, but as it is, it isn't great. The north most loop is the most rideable, but all of it has faults.
If I am in the area again, I may check in and see if things are improved, but I certainly wouldn't make a point to go there again.
Rideable, but not necessarily enjoyable.
I see good potential, but I’d much rather go to Seneca.
Other recommended trails in the same area: Seneca

Weekend Warrior Summary: One of the best trails in the Louisville area. Come out and enjoy technical log and rock crossings, jumps, teeters, ect are being added by me in the near future. Awesome for beginners and even beter for more experienced riders. I love these trails and ride 2 times a week. Recommended Route: Do the loop that starts on the main entrance road to the park. It is technical and at the top there are a series of rocks, bridges and jumps, then cross and ride until you get to the cutthrough wooden bridge that connects the 2 sides of that trail. Near this bridge there is a big drop off into the creek bed. I am trying to build jumps here and use the drop to get speed. Check it out!!!!

Weekend Warrior Summary: Very fun trails to ride. If your not in the best of shape these trails are for you. Not saying they are easy. Very tight and technical. The roots and rocks will test your balance and tech skills along with the log crossings.
Prepare to put your feet down a few times and you'll definitly hit your forearms and shoulders on trees. I love the place and think it's one of the funnest places to ride in Louisville. Recommended Route: Ride all the trails.

Weekend Warrior Summary: I'm a beginner rider who is slowly adding trails and the skills needed to ride them to my inventory. Briar Hill is a great place to develop one's skills. The trails are twisty, preventing riders from blasting through, placing the emphasis instead on bike handling. There are switchbacks, drops, bridges, creek crossings, and rock gardens aplenty, along with jumps and short but intense downhill sections to keep most riders amused. The care of the local volunteers is obvious. In spite of concerns about encroaching civilization, the trail still feels like you're out in the middle of nowhere. Recommended Route: I think the trails across the road from the parking lot are more fun. Other recommended trails in the same area: Cherokee/Seneca Park.

Weekend Warrior Summary: A wet Spring improved much of the riding out at Briar Hill. Many of the wet trail sections have been corrected with additional improvements planned through the coming year. Recent storms have dropped a few of the dead-standing trees and created opportunities for additional technical and trial-esk obsicals. BH was made to be fun, not fast.
Since the opening of BH, now over 4-years ago, the trails have developed into smoother lines without compromising the technical qualites. Briar Hill has also benifited from some quality work of local volunteers and made BH one of the best trails in the Louisville area. Recommended Route: Visit >Singletrack.net< for the topo map. Other recommended trails in the same area: Visit >Singletrack.net< for a full list of great local trails in the Louisville area.
