Summary:
the trail in places is too rocky even for horses for a couple of sections less that 50feet and has a couple of bad wet spots where horse hoofs sink in to make for a dismount, but if your camping at blue heron camp it is a convienent ride while someone cooks dinner.
MTB ativism is needed to open up trails to bikes in this area, especially old narrow guage RR beds et c.

Recommended Route:
From the road to the turn off for the campground exactly 1.5miles east look for a gravel road that turns off at a rise in the road next to a conrete R/W marker and go straight past the old chimney to the multi-use trail less than .4mile downhill, go left or right is shorter and right at the bottom of the hill to the coal tipple, dismount your bike if you see horses or when you get to the Blue Heron area you can take the road back to the top or do a loop back to where you started,

O&W from Zenith to bridge 7mi.? and beyond when water is down & horse and ATV traffic is at a minimum 4 creek crossings so in cold weather wear neoprene socks, great when it's hot makes for a cool off stop
