This trail system has many different routes to choose from. There are 10+ trails that all loop into one another. One may ride as long as they please. The trails have a little of everything. It winds through rolling single track with rocky and challenging ascents, as well as fast down hills. This is a great place for beginners to advanced. A really fun time time while you visit Kansas.

Summary:
I ride this tail several times a week. It is over 22 miles in length and can be ridden in any direction so you really have over 40 miles of trail. The trail is a chain of loops that can be ridden as 1 big loop or mix and match the interconected sections a multitude of ways if you wish. It is one of the best maintained trails anywhere. Well marked and easy to figure out where you are and where you are going. Always well mowed and trimmed, it is even leaf blown in the fall to get rid of the very dense leaf cover in the heavy wooded areas. Area riders refer to the trail as "physical" not technical. There is plenty of techy stuff but mostly it is just an intense ride. Always going up, down, around, over, across something. About 5 miles of the trail is easy but the rest is a challenge. Pretty fair amouunt of climbing, for KS.

Summary:
This trail has a little of it all, rocks, down branches, tight turns, creek crossings, nice views. I was overall happy with this ride except for the spider webs in my face every 10 ft which did not allow me to focus on the ride. I linked a few of the trails (Skyline, Great White, it was hardly riden and it was covered with spider webs across the trail) I suppose anyone who is not in the front will be fine and ended up with about 12 miles.

Recommended Route:
Great White

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Skyline

Summary:
Freeride? No. Fun ride. Who was to believe that Kansas could offer such a wonderful trail system? Being from Colorado’s Front Range I’ve been spoiled with a plethora of killer trails. I will be the first to tell you though, that the trail system in Perry Lake State Park rock’s! Literally. This network of trails has a little of it all, rollers, tight turns, creek crossings, lake front views. I was surprised and very ecstatic with the ride. We linked a few of the trails (Skyline, Wild West, and Great White along with a few others) and ended up with about 10+ miles of good times. If you’re traveling through Kansas it would be recommended to make the quick stop and enjoy these marvelous trails that are offered to our Mt biking community. A big thanks to Lyle Rledy for his dedication in the development and upkeep of these trails.
