Aproxamately 8 mile loop, with a number of cutbacks to shorten the loop if wanted. Lots of whoop di dos, lots of technical log jams, very fast trail, sandy over most of it.

Summary:
If you are ever in the Lawrence area, this is a fun trail to hit up for a fun 8 mile ride. The main attraction for this trail is the roller coaster whoop-de-doos on the first 4 miles of the loop and the last 4 miles back rides along the Kansas River and for the most part, it is fast and flowy.

There are a couple of small logpiles on the trail just for some technical fun and there is a couple of places on the trail you can catch some small air...

Overall, a very fun ride!

Summary:
Not at all technical. Lots of whoop di doos to keep it interesting. A few ramps in the beginning and a cool semi drop right after the ramps. It really gives you a good work out if you ride the loop a few times.

Summary:
This trail is like a rollercoaster on flat ground, and can almost make me dizzy if ridden fast enough. It's a great beginner mountain bike trail as my wife can attest. She loves to ride it. For myself it is really fast. I've ridden from parking lot back to parking lot in just over 34 minutes with an average of over 14 mph on the 8.5 miles of singletrack so it can be really fast. Also I have heard it is possible to ride the whole thing without using any brakes. I've tried it once, but did have to touch the brakes at two spots, otherwise no brakes needed because there is really no elevation change. This trail is kept up really well with someone running a mower through it to keep the weeds down.

For someone passing through this area of Kansas I would recommend this trail as worth a ride for its fast, flowy trail. It's easy for beginners but fun for experienced riders too.

Recommended Route:
Please follow the arrows, it's disconcerting to find either hikers or cyclists traveling the wrong direction.

Summary:
What that last guy said exactly... flat and fast but superbly designed with nice banks and no roots, so you can really carry your speed into the turns. Some really fun jumps in the first mile. A real break from most of the really rocky technical trails that most of this area consists of. If you want to haul ass and have the trees fly by, this is the trail for you. Enjoy.

Recommended Route:
park at the Bridge on Mass. street and ride the Levy east to the trailhead.
