Summary:
As a beginner mountain bike rider, I love this trail! Good ups and downs with sharp turns to keep it interesting, and some sandy sections to keep me on my toes. I'm normally a road biker, yet was able to handle this trail without any significant difficulty.

Summary:
This trail is a wild fast ride much like a pump track but without the huge jumps. This ride will allow you to pull some "g's" that you cannot find hardly anywhere else. You will wonder how your tires ever kept in place. Watch out because if you get so much as a few inches off the hard packed trail it becomes very loose and will pull your tire out and send you to a yard sale in a flash! I recommend you put a helmet on and kill this trail. It is way more fun fast than it is slow!! I was just down there last weekend and the trail is plenty dry to ride.

Recommended Route:
Only one way and watch out for joggers!! They are instructed to run the opposite way, they'll scare the crap out of you when you fly around a corner at mach 5!

Summary:
This is an update for those of you that would like to ride the Kansas River Trail. In May we had a significant amount of rain and the Kaw River flooded part of the trail beyond the 4 mile marker. The wooden bridge was pulled off the gully as a hint to avoid riding any further. I knew something was up and wanted to see it for myself. At around the five mile mark, maybe sooner, it is submerged. So unless you have a boat with you it will be impossible to contine. I took off through the woods and hiked with my bike on my shoulder for at least fifteen minutes. Needless to say it was a very muddy endevour. The trail at around the 5 1/2 mile mark or there abouts runs right next to the river and in two places the water washed the bank away. The edge was next to the trail. Due caution must be used in this area or you will be taking a swim. The rest of the trail from that point on is good.
We've had more rain and this trail seems to take weeks to dry out. So, if you're looking for fast and swoopy maybe you should look a Landhal Park in MO.

Summary:
Fun trail for an easy ride--mostly fast, hard pack dirt, with enough bermed turns and dips to make this trail feel like a roller coaster if you keep the speed up. You can make this trail a good aerobic workout if you push yourself, but there is little in the way of technical riding or climbing. Great trail for introducing a new rider to mtn biking.

Recommended Route:
Clockwise!

Summary:
I don't know how to describe my riding style though it is important to know what type of person is reviewing the trail... so... I like to bunnyhop stuff no larger than a couple feet tall. I love bustin' out table tops catching some air on the trail...riding wheelies wherever I can. Jumpin' stairs, climbing hills, bombing hills, and basically just having a good ol' time. THAT SAID...now you can decide whether you like this trail or not.(based on my style and review) I love it. There's not really any climbing to speak of. There are several little chutes and bumps to catch some air off of. I like the little log jumps.(biggest one is like 26" or so) The sand kinda annoys me now and then. There's nothing worse than carving fast corners and running into a 6-8" deep sandy corner and wiping out only to find that your whole drive train is now laying in the sand and when you begin to pedal again all you hear is this gritty noise. When you ride the trail enough, though...you remember where the sand is.

Recommended Route:
Start at the trail head and go counter clockwise. When in doubt, stay to the left.
