first part is boring but look for turnoffs to get to the fun trails there are about a half dozen of them. be prepared to cross some creeks as the briges tend to wash away. there are some fun drops called the bulls. skill level varies a lot depending on trail.

Summary:
They were made by the kids in hutchinson that like to ride bmx. Some of the jumps are 3-7ft. theyre pretty fun. This is an area for amateur to intermediate. Mostly amateur.

Recommended Route:
go down 4th street until you pass the railroad tracks then go 1 more block and take a right about a half a block or so you will see an abanded area with a bunch of dirt hills. they have some pretty good jumps there.

Summary:
The east side of the creek is single track and is better than behind Bethel. their is one sharp hill
must be cautious can ride all the way to the interstate. Half way on east side , you can ride across
the creek on to the Bethal side and ride also from 24th to the interstate and golf coarse. Some fast single track.

Recommended Route:
N.Newton enter behind Bethel college or south of the school on 24th st. Go east of sand creek bridge beside mailbox enter trail.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Lawrance. lake , and park river trails . If your into BMX DIRT JUMPING.Newton has some trails south of newton along sand creek behind the old Roads const. building and 50 highway.

I went on the east side but the track only seemed to go so far. I couldn't see how to go all the way to the "I" or 24th. Only maybe 1/8th mile in each direction. I'll have to do some exploration apparently.

Summary:
A not so technical walking trail. If you're in the Newton area and want to find a trail, these are just fine, there is just no need to take your bike,,, no rocks and very short single track.

Recommended Route:
The directions are the same as above

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Other trails within 2 to 2 hours of Wichita would have to include both Kaw Lake and Clinton Lake.
