This trial is built in what is the spillway area of the lake. All skill levels here from a smooth trail to all most certain death.Be careful on your first outing here!!!!!The trails loop and criss cross-also creek crossing. Many big drops into ravine with hard climbs, lots of rocks. You must go to park office and get a permit for daily or yearly use.

Summary:
I rode this trail last week and found it to be quite confusing. It is not marked and the trails criss-cross everywhere. It looks like there is plenty of potential for a good trail system but still needs a lot of work. Didn't find any of the death defying drops that the other post talked about, then again I was lost 90% of the time.

Summary:
Every thing from a easy trail ride to near death experience awaits you at Sante Fe Lake trail.Built behind the dam in the spillway area.Parts of this area will separate the men from the boys. One wrong move and this trail could hurt you.Be careful.Nice creek crossings and many rocks.Looping trails make it fun to ride here. I will be back.

Recommended Route:
East of Wichita on Hwy 54 about 10 miles and turn north on Sante Fe Lake rd.Go north about 2 miles and turn west at lake on SWShore Dr.You must get a permit at the Lake office up this rd then go park back by the dam.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
