Weekend Warrior Summary: The park just opened today(7/29/09) and this was my first time riding these trails. Most of the trails are beginner trails, with a few intermediate, and "expert". But nearly all the trails can be ridden. I'm only a beginner and I rode all of the trails today. All of the trails are smooth and all the brush and overgrowth have been cleared out.
The trails that go north and south are flat, smooth and fast. The trails that go east and west are small hills that are a blast to rip down. Recommended Route: Drop in trail head by the rode and ride like crazy. Other recommended trails in the same area: Wilderness Park, Farlington,

Weekend Warrior Summary: Well used trail. Recently opened back up to the public, when they finished the overpass. I've rode these trails for the past 8 years and was delighted to see them opened up again. Saturdays after noon is the best time to hook up with a few other riders. The trail is alot of small rolling hills where the trick is to carry your speed down and up the other side. There are a few thorns to watch out for which get worse in the summer months. I can think of only 2 technical areas, but there exits were bulldozed, so its down and walk back up. Good fun trail to ride for an hour or so. I think the outside loop is about 2 miles. Recommended Route: Drop in at 23rd street and ride counterclockwise to avoid collisions. You do get going pretty fast in some sections.
Other recommended trails in the same area: Wilderness park in frontenac....Farlington lake trail(most technical)

Weekend Warrior Summary: This trail is a lot of fun to spend an hour or so riding. Difficult to find a good loop because of downed trees, but there are plenty of good hills and lots of shade. A couple decent jumping hills in the middle section to change things up. Not a real technical trail, but still a lot of fun. Recommend for anyone wanting to just get out and have fun.

Cross Country Rider Summary: Just rode this one for the first time. When I entered the trail head by the road, I was very dissapointed at how overgrown the place was. Lots of weeds leaving chiggers on your legs as you ride, and a great deal of little thorned plants scratching up my arms and legs. After I rode that to the open area and found the rest of the trail, I had a pretty good time.
The trail weaves in and out of the woods with alot of roller-type hills about 10-20 feet tall. Pretty much every climb has a descent before it, so you can keep your speed up and catch some air at the top of most of them. There was another small open area in the middle of the woods that had a BMX jump set up.
If they could spend a little time maintaining the trail with a weed-eater and chainsaw, it would be much better, but once you get past the first part of the trail, it's pretty decent. Recommended Route: Dunno yet. Other recommended trails in the same area: Wilderness Park
