Weekend Warrior Summary: This is a great little trail, it's not so challenging that a novice would be scared off, yet it's got enough nuances and diversions for a good time. There are two bowls with ramps for the free riders, the single track needs some maintenance, but for mid-March, was good enough for quick blasts back and forth.
One or two weekends and this single track will be outstanding. I measured it as 1.8 miles on my GPS, but out and back twice and you'll hardly notice that an hour has passed. In the Junction City/Manhattan area, this is the most fun single track I have found so far.
My only wish is that it were about 3-4 times longer. Recommended Route: Directions in the first review are spot on. From the gravel parking lot, go to the right on the paved trail (which is south). About 100ft from the parking lot, the single track begins on the left. Other recommended trails in the same area: Eagle Trail at Milford Lake

Weekend Warrior Summary: Nice place to Mt. bike. It offers logs and jumps to do some nice moves. Its singletrack so share. Make sure you look ahead as you ride down the trail because you don't want to go head-on with another biker coming from the other direction. Other recommended trails in the same area: Fancy creek and the Spillway.

Weekend Warrior Summary: I discovered the trail while biking on the Linear Trail, which is a boring gravelled walking/biking path. The trail is a good mix of safe easy off-road riding with more challenging additions that are usually, but not always, off-shoots from the main trail. The trail has plenty of hills and turns which makes it a good alternative for people who are bored with the local Linear Trail. Users of the trail have hauled in ready-mix concrete and made an area with concrete ramps and have made numerous "ladder" type ramps or above gound bikeways using lumber they hauled in or tree limbs found there. I have seen people with chain-saws doing work on the trail recently, and it is well-maintained by the people who use it. Due to the trees along the path be carefull for tree limbs, or whole trees, that may fall across the path. As an older, mid 30's, beginning biker I have dumped my bike on more than one occasion and haven't worked up the skill level to attempt many of the more difficult off-shoots to the main trail. During the evening the trail tends to get more crowded and with dense vegetation/trees obscuring the view around the tight turns/hills so head on collisions could a factor. I've found riding it in the morning is better as there are fewer people in the area. Recommended Route: Take Hwy 24 to the Blue RIver Bridge parking area just east of the HWY 24/McCall Road intersection on the northeast edge of Manhattan, the trail entrance is past the rail-road/vehicle bridges going south-east on Linear Trail. The other end is off of Linear Trail directly across from Sirloin Stockade on Highway 24 in Manhattan. Other recommended trails in the same area: None Known

Cross Country Rider Summary: Good trail to go as fast as you want to. Great trail for the beginner. Smooth trail for the most part with some minor technical spots (sand). There is something for everyone here with large stunts to drop from, jumps, ground-level stunts for beginners, log ramps, etc. Great warm up for a Fancy Creek ride. Look out for runners and dogs not on leashes. Recommended Route: Multiple ways to hit the trail. I've been riding this trail since 2000 and it truly evolves everytime i've been on it. Other recommended trails in the same area: Fancy Creek, Lake Perry, Clinton

Cross Country Rider Summary: This trail is only getting better. Several riders have gotten together and put all types of obstacles along the trail(not on it). They remind me of the ones in British Columbia. The trail is what you make of it. It is not a technical trail but it can be ridden very fast by all abilities. My 12 year old daughter screams on this thing. I think it is about two or three miles in length one way. If you need a riding partner on a weekend then e mail me at taylorcleblanc@yahoo.com
