, from Cedar Rapids, IA Summary: Like the Other reveiws the trail is well maintained and to add the North part out of Waterloo its Hard surface Blacktop for 14 miles into La Porte City, it's a nice place for a fast hard ride but watch out for the Road Crossings, low visiblity.... Recommended Route: You can catch the North end of the Trail of of Highway 20 of of the River Forest Road exit, follow the signs and it will get you to the Trail Head... Other recommended trails in the same area: Any of the Trails in Waterloo-Cedar Falls are great....more for the recreational rider than they are for the Hard core Mountain biker....

, from Iowa Summary: A long rail-trail. Zero technical skills required. If you want to rage through the woods, go somewhere else. A good trail to work on endurance, or spin. There are some really pretty parts, especially between LaPorte City and Brandon. There are little towns to explore along the way, and some parks with camping facilities. Take lots of water - it can be really hot riding through cornfields in the summer. Recommended Route: I start at the north end and usually ride about 20-25 miles before turning around. Other recommended trails in the same area: For singletrack try George Wyth State Park and Hartman Reserve in Cedar Falls/Waterloo. Trails are short, but twisty.
