Cross Country Rider Summary: This is a follow-up to my first review... and it only gets better. Since early summer the guys who maintain this trail have been hard at work. The trail has had new features added including a couple of huge berms and some improved log roll-overs! The back section and the trail overall has been cleared of most of the overgrowth yet maintains it's woodsy feel.
This trail continues to be one of the best rides in Northwest Indiana! Recommended Route: All of it!

Cross Country Rider Summary: This trail is a blast! While I think the trails current rating is pretty accurate, it's only because of poor signage on the North section and a lack of trail upkeep on that same section. With some brush trimming and a little trail grooming this would be a standout trail.
The South section has some really fun jumps and the North section adds a very technical off-camber trail piece thats quite challenging. For anyone who has ridden Franke Park in Fort Wayne and Winona Lake trails in Warsaw, this trail fits in the middle all but a bit more twisty turny version of them. Well worth a ride! Recommended Route: Ride both sections but come back to the South section for one more time through the multiple jump hits... a blast. Other recommended trails in the same area: Winona Lake trails in Warsaw, IN.
Roush Lake at the Huntinton, IN reservoir.
Franke Park trails in Fort Wayne, IN.

Weekend Warrior Summary: This trail has grown in length to 7+ miles now. The trailhead is now located at the tennis courts near the park entrance. It starts and ends ther as well. The south side of the park has 3.5 or so miles. There are a few short steep climbs to get your heartrate going along with a little off camber fun. The north side of the park (after you go under US 30) has 3.5 miles with another 1-2 miles to be added this year. The north side trail requires a bit more skill as there are some really tight turns and a pretty risky but fun technical section. This trail has a lot of turns and is pretty tight so the faster you go the more accurate you need to be. Recommended Route: All routes are good. This trail has something for everyone.

Cross Country Rider Summary: If you don't know how to make turns at high speed, yet, riding this trail will whip you into shape fast. This is probably the windi-est trail I've ever ridden. The trail is definately longer than the 3 miles described above - it's been lengthened to about 6 miles now. There are four "advanced" trails that shoot off from the main trail - but I use the word "advanced" liberally. This trail is a VERY easy trail if you're not moving too fast. If you pick up the pace you'll be hard-pressed to make all the tight turns you'll find along the way. There really isn't anything technical about the place with one or two exceptions - there are two short, steep climbs and one steep downhill. There is a caution sign at that location so you won't be surprised.
Before I forget, it seems this trail is relatively new; therefore, there are lots of "rollers" on the trail so beware!
roller - a small log or twig sitting length-wise along the trail awaiting your tire to ride on top of it to throw you sideways. Think "Throw-rug for bicycles." Recommended Route: Pretty simple, really - it's a blue trail with three red zones and one yellow zone - Start to finish. Other recommended trails in the same area: Frankie park, Winnona Lake

Weekend Warrior Summary: thers is no doubt in my mind that this trail was secretly built by the local doctors, hospitals, and bike shops. it is just too good for thier business. i ride the trail weekly because it is close to work. but 75% of the time i leave with damage to my bike and/or body. i have fixed countless flats, and even recieved stitches in my knee due to this course. why do i go back? i have no idea. either i will kill it or it will kill me!
BRING BUG STUFF! or be eaten alive the second you stop.
the back half of the course is short (2.5 miles that you can ride in 20 minutes easy) but is very technical and TIGHT with some good climbs. NO ROOM FOR ERROR HERE! if you dont know what you are doing you WILL bite it!
and i have NEVER seen such a concetration of thorn and thistle bushes on one trail. wear long sleeve if you dont like your forearms getting all cut up! front part of the trail (by the tennis courts) is more open, faster, and easier. some cool little wooden bridges and such. nice trail if you want to ride alone and dont have a whole afternoon. Recommended Route: harder part of trail is at the back of Morsches Park just North of the us30 overpass. easier trail at the front of the park near the tennis courts. you may want to ask a local for directions to the local hospital before you get started...just to be safe. Other recommended trails in the same area: huntington (long), boys club (the best), franke park (the worst).
