Summary:
Great trail system, flows nice and is lots of fun. Fun downhills later in the loop, with a fast start. Some climbs, but for the most part roots and tight trails. Trails were in good shape just recently mowed. My opinion is that the trail gets better the further you go.

Recommended Route:

Summary:
Great trail systems, lots of milage and routes. Good beginner and advanced trails. New westwoods is really tough! Usually somebody around to ride with and show you around on the weekends. Trails are marked and maintained well. Its one of newest and best trails in Indiana. Creig also offers kayaking rentals including a trailer. He also has great deals on bike upgrades, tubes, jerseys, ect. It is a great place to make a weekend trip out of (lots of camping options.) So check it out!!!!

Summary:
Excellent trail, lots of challenging spots. 8 miles of trail. Owners build bon fires during the fall for riders, and they clean the trail of leaves. They are helpful and offer assistance and advice. Best trails in Indiana, I'm going back and bringing my buddies too.

Recommended Route:
Finding Doin' it outdoors from Indy-2 hours travelling time-please read:
Take the 70 east from Indy all the way to Richmond(1 hour 15 min.). From the 70, the second entrance to Richmond is the 27 south, take that all the way through Richmond and down into Liberty(30min),turn right at Brownville road (Skagg's Gas station on the corner), take the road down for 10 min. to a forked intersection where you will see a big sign that says 'Byrd Tree nursery' and points to the right,go right because this is Patterson road (watch out for the blood hound he will chase your car at that intersection), take Patterson for about 5 min. to Byrd road where you will see a road sign high up on a telephone pole not at normal road sign height, you will also see the Byrd Tree nursery sign, turn left here. If you miss this, and come to the intersection of Clifton and Patterson you have gone too far, turn around and find the Byrd road entrance on your way back. You will pass a little bridge, and the first entrance on your left with a YELLOW TRAFFIC SIGN in front and a rectangular brick building is Doin' it outdoors, park immediatly to your left as you enter-3 tiny parking spots have been made.

Summary:
a very nice trail that deserves its good reputation. my wife and I rode the course saturday and had a blast. the trail has a great mix of technical riding with some good hill climbs and decents with bmx style berms at the bottom , very cool. the trail was a long eight miles of mostly tight single track so you don't have to ride the same trail multipe times to get in a good ride. check it out!!!!

Summary:
well worth the drive from NW IN. The trails are some of the most technical around. Plenty of rock, roots, ruts, drops, jumps, climbs, and super fast bermed downs. the trails are well maintained, he was out with a leaf blower cleaning the trails off, thats the type of care he puts in this place. I recommend it to ALL class of riding.
