Summary:
I always have a great time on this trail. It isn't to technical but you can make the best of the trail by picking up your speed. The last time I went to the trail they were building a cat walk that had a major drop on the end of it i think their putting in a run with lots "sweet jumps" shut up napoleon!!!

Summary:
First off I think the subsequent reviews of this trail are all fair assessments. The length is roughly 7 miles in it entirety, but there are several places where the trail collides with itself allowing the rider to shorten or lengthen his or her ride. The added obstacles are nice for the advanced riders to strut and some are even "easy" enough for a beginner to work up the courage to try out. I think the level of satisfaction that a rider will gain from this trail is all dependent of what expectations is set going into the ride. It is a great trail for raising your fitness level, and technical skills. It isn't going to be an epic ride that you will sit in front of your fireplace in 50 years telling your grandchildren about. If you live outside of the Indy metro area I am going to say that it may not be worth the drive unless you have NO other options. It is a mile from my house so I hit this trail 3-4 times a week and I have yet to be disappointed.

Recommended Route:
Their ain't but one.

Summary:
This trail is pretty fun. No hills to speak of but the trail is very fast and flows well. After about five miles I began to wonder when the trail was going to get hard. Not too long after that I quickly found out where it was. It's not a very long section but you really have to keep your eyes on the trail.

It's a little short for my tastes (seven miles)but worth riding if you live around Indy or are passing through as I was.

Summary:
I have to disagree with several of the posts about this trail. It is definitely an intermediate trail now that various obstacles have been built up throughout the trail. If you are a beginner, it will take you several runs through this trail for you to get the hang of it and build your skills. Also, the trail length is almost seven miles.

That being said, it is a fun trail to ride. It has some nice BMX style jumps and there are several spots along the trail that keep it interesting. There are a great deal of switchbacks that slow your speed but improve your steering skills. It is well marked and only gets crowded on the weekends when the weather is nice. I have ridden a lot of different trails in the midwest and on the east coast and this is a good trail for Indiana cross country riders. Have fun!

Other recommended trails in the same area:
I also recommend the trail on 82nd Street behind BGI (Bicycle Garage Indianapolis). It is unmarked but you can figure out the trail after riding it a few times. If not, ask a BGI employee or a fellow rider. This trail is much less crowded and is wider than the 96th Street trail. Try it out!

Summary:
My first ride on this trail was this past weekend. It was 102 degrees in the shade. I had a ton of fun on this great fast single track. It has lots of great switch backs over the river's levey. You can keep just enough speed to keep you honest. If you want more speed pedel harder! but watch out for thoes sharp turns. Lots of great bumbs for getting air. This great city trail is no mountian track, But you have to remember this is Indiana! Farm Country! If you live near Indianapolis this is the purfect place to beat up on your bike!

Recommended Route:
Follow the signs.
