A very awesome trail, that is pretty much technical. Lots of good downhills through the woods, some nice jumps, beautiful scenery around the lake, and overall some good heart-pumping trails. All the trails overall arent' that long, but it's a decent size maze of trails.

Trail Directions
Take I-37 South to 2nd St. Take 2nd St. West about a mile or so(I'm not positive). Right before you hit a sports complex on the right(they are building it right now), you will see a sign on the left for wapehani, make a left onto that road. Take that about .8 of a mile, until the road forks, take the road right, to a gravel road, and you will find parking there.

Thought I would post a quick note to let everyone know that the development planned on this property does not seem to be happening. Trail is in great shape.

This trail is great in the winter!! Not many other riders at all. The trails are fairly short but it is fun and good practice taking a loop twice and/or going the opposite direction.

Summary:
This is a good trail and my friend and I had a good time there despite the fact that I sideswipped a tree and hurt my shoulder. Very dusty due to the dry conditions. Each trail has its own character and individual challenge. Some good climbs and downhills, lots of roots and tech stuff to keep you busy. My only complaint is the lack of a well marked loop. This is a note to all local riders. Mark your trails so visiting riders can go the correct way and get the most out of the trail. We ran into a rider coming up a trail that was clearly a downhill trail. A little signage would have prevented that. Too bad if what I heard is true that this trail will be mostly destroyed by development.

Recommended Route:
37 to second street

Summary:
A great trail to have but im afraid the party is gonna be over soon. i have heard that the first 1/4 - 1/2 of the trail is owned by a man who will be developing the land with in the next couple of months. Ride this great trail while you can. I know that most of it is owned by the city but the Wap will never be the same. Come out and enjoy it while you can. Why we need more housing in Bloomington is a mystery to me. The area all around the Wap has been developed with new apartments. I can't believe this town needs more. Money talks I guess.

Recommended Route:
try it while you can

first time checking out the trail while i was in the area. nice park. all around good riding. nothing to difficult but a couple of heads up sections. lots of tight single track. much more technical then town run trail in INDY. back section of the trail has some leg burners. nothing epic but a good work out and will keep you technical riding up for some more serious and longer rides

Recommended Route:
take your pick. lots of loops. easy to find yourself repeating stuff

Other recommended trails in the same area:
hickory ridge, nebo, town run trail, valley branch,
