Technical. Mix of Double and Single track. Very rocky in areas with some drops. Several water crossings. Great scenery: follows bluff lines and streams, several waterfalls. Horses also use this trail. Trail includes a section of the River to River trail.

I heard it was technical, but since I've only ridden on the Canal Loop before this I had no idea it would be that hard (it may have to do with my beginner status, but it seemed pretty tough)! Rocks everywhere! Several 2-3ft Drops and alternate routes too. I didn't get to ride all of it, the trail was pretty wet in spots because of recent rains. If you're an Intermediate/Advanced rider, this would be a great trail I think. It may be a good trail for beginners like myself who are looking to improve. This trail is gorgeous. I'll definitely be going back to improve my skills.

Recommended Route:
Park at the River to River Trailhead on Gum Springs Road. Follow along the creek for the shorter Gum Springs loop, or head across the road and follow the River to River trail to the Trigg Tower Trail.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Glendale Lake Trail

Canal Loop, LBL, KY
