Summary:
well....as far as actual MOUNTAIN biking...I firmly disagree with giving this "trail" a 5 tire rating....it is just a rails to trails ride...wide and I mean WIDE double track, flat, absolutely NO technical aspect whatsoever... Not that it isn't a very scenic, enjoyable ride, but it is for the more tame at heart. I actually ride it more on my road bike than on any of my MTB's. Just to even out the 5 tire rating...I gotta give it a 2. It's a touring bicyclists 5...not an MTBer's.

Recommended Route:
park, ride, return to car

Summary:
Very easy and scenic former Rock Island Line tracks.
Maintained from Wyoming, Ill. From deep woods to open
prairie. Take water bottles as there are stretches
without water available.

Recommended Route:
Toulon to Alta
