Cross Country Rider Summary: Farmdale is the most popular riding spot in the area and is taken care of extremely well. The trail is pretty smooth overall with some rooty sections and a short fun slightly technical downhill with a couple good drops and jumps. Farmdale is not as physical as Indy but the flow through many of the sections is superior. It can be taken pretty easy as a great beginner trail or if you want to push the pace it can be really fast and fun. Recommended Route: The trails can be turned into a great 13 mile lollipop loop by going east out of the parking lot and then turning back before crossing the damn. Other recommended trails in the same area: Independence Park, Wildlife Prairie State Park, Jubilee College State Park, Black Partridge Park

Downhiller Summary: i have not ridden out side of illinois but this trail is the best that i have ever ridden. it has a very techincal down hill and up ssections all along its trails. the down hill ssections are cut backs down the side of the hills and their is alot of the trails. these trails are well maintained by pamba and is alot better then the surronding trails. this park also has a very cool dirt jump course at just a short ride from the parking lot. this is where i broke my tail bone goin off the jumps. still lots of fun. i recomend if you are an avid downhiller and want some good up hill sections also .

Cross Country Rider Summary: Great trails. Maps can use an update but still very nice to navigate. These trails are well maintained and alot of fun. I will ride here again if I visit. PAMBA and Corp of Engineers have done great work here. Thanks to all the volunteers!!! Recommended Route: Ride Schroll's it is a blast connect with Mike and Dans (i think thats the name). Creekside is fun but the far side trails are the best. Pick up a map at LBS and go explore. Other recommended trails in the same area: Jubilee College State Park was good...not as fun as Farmdale in my opinion

Downhiller Summary: This place has something for everyone. Mountain Cross and Downhill courses for the racers and tons of single track for all the XC guys. Single track can be very fast in some sections as well as technical in others. They have miles and miles (I would guess around 30 total) worth of trails here. The downhill course is fun. It has rock gardens, rooty stepdowns, and some technical downhill sections. They hold races a few times a year. Check the PAMBA site for more info. If you'd like to see a video and pictures of the course check out www.sicklines.com under the courses section. First person and trailer videos are available.
