Fabyian forest preserve

Average Rating:    (3.25 of 5)

Technical singletrack in a long ravine. Lots of logs and roots. Several short and steep climbs with roots. There is a landfill to one side that provides about a 60'' climb. A golf course borders one section; you will often hear golf balls whistling through the trees as you are riding. There are also several miles of easy double track trails.

Summary:
First off, the windmill is SOUTH of rt 38. Altogether this place is the gnarliest trail I've seen in the area. There's stuff for beginner (doubletrack). And there's also amazing drops, steep hills, so you can really get going. It's pretty technical, with lots of roots and branches to go over. I went after it rained, so it was dry, but the little creek filled up so I got to ride through it. Thanks for posting this, it's AMAZING!
