Paved 7 miles (extension planned) through trees, Sangamon River, covered bridge, suspension bridge. Alternative trails on grass adding about 5 more miles (esp W of Rt 47). Champaign Cty Forest Preserve.
I-74 to Mahomet exit (not Prairieview but main exit), N on Rt 47 1 mile to Lake of Woods entrance. Plenty free parking. Well marked. Parking both sides Rt 47, and cut grass path to W, recreational path E side of road. No water, some toilets. Also golf (18 hole), Lake with fishing, and hiking.
Summary: It is a very short trail. It is mostly paved. The scenery through the park is very pretty but then it ends near some houses and it ain't too pretty. Not much to write home about this one.
