Cross Country Rider Summary: Awesome! Tight, twisty, fast. Not too technical or outrageous climbs. Went there at night with some locals and saw many deer - incredible so close to the urban sprawl! 4 flaming turds because of its proximity to the city! Recommended Route: No clue. Started via subliminal entrance on the south side of Dundee Rd just east of the Edens Parkway Overpass.

Reviewed by: vermonter Summary: This is a great trail if u live locally. I used to ride it 2-3 X a wk, then i moved to vermont. man r u guys missing out. If ur ever in vermont stop by the SkiRack in Burlington and they'll tell u about some stuff that makes motorcycle hill look like an anthill. seriously. here, we ride the ski resorts (2,000 ft+) Recommended Route: ride anything you see. gets super muddy but mud is fun somtimes.

, from Kenilworth Summary: This trail is actually NOT a bike trail. It is an old foot trail used for access into the lagoons, but word has spread that its ok for biking. Too much use will probably shut this path down because of errosion. So far it's a good goofing around trail, not too serious, good to take a beginner for some lessons, ride it too fast the trail gets short quick. There are 4 paths so far that i've seen. Fallen trees and branches litter some parts, overgrowth is bad in the summer, i wear a long sleeve bmx jersey to keep from getting poison ivy. Bugs are as big as ball bearings. It gets muddy a lot, and the mud smells when it dries. the Lagoons used to be a sewage drain..go figure...Ride it at night and get the "Blair Witch" feeling...watch out for deer, and crazy Labs running around with bikers...(yes you Princess Mudd Butt!)...when theres nothing else..ride this trail, but try to keep from destroying it...it isnt a "secret" trail anymore, it wouldnt surprise me if it gets policed by the town in the future. Recommended Route: follow the paved path to the shed, just north of it. Other recommended trails in the same area: stay away from the N.Branch trail, unless you want to hit skaters and child trailers.

, from wheeling il Summary: for all you dry land kettle wimps and palos aerobic kings, this place rocks, if you dont like mud and can't get light in the saddle then stay home with your wife and kids, lots of single tracks, lots of water and colorado like log crossing's, no, i must have been dreaming. this place sucks, SO STAY HOME! Recommended Route: from dundee go south on first street after i94 and park at the first grove on the left, see the gravel trail and go for it Other recommended trails in the same area: deer grove is numeRO uno, the bone is second, then go to elk grove...as far as the trip the bone, it is as close to me as the grove, but the grove has all the stress of marty dybicz eating all the foliage..the bone is as close and maintained by real mtbx riders!
