Cross Country Rider Summary: Best trails around. Some parts are fast and some very technical. Some good climbs and some good roller-coasters. If you're luck you might come across some deer or turkeys. If you're unlucky you might actually hit them on the trail! Not to mention is very pretty back there! Recommended Route: I like to start up at the ball diamonds and head to Superman Hill and take the left or the right before you actually go down Superman. But you can't go wrong at Indy. Its all good! Other recommended trails in the same area: Dirksen, McNaughton (horse sh*t every where and fire weed in even more places), Jubilee, urbans in Pekin or Peoria or even Chicago can be fun.

Weekend Warrior Summary: Great singletrack! Props to Mike, Deon, Scott, Havana Tim, Randy and all the other Pekin guys that have helped create and maintain this park. The advantage this park has over several others in the area is...NO HORSES!!! It's pretty much a MTB park with very few hikers and NO horses...sweeeeeet. Recommended Route: North side single track out....South side single track back to the car. Other recommended trails in the same area: Farmdale and Indy are my favorites (Farmdale does allow horses, but does have MTB only trails. Jubilee and Dirksen are also worth riding.

Cross Country Rider Summary: Hands down my favorite trail anywhere. I just moved from central Illinois to Flagstaff AZ, home of some sweet trails, and Sedona is just down the road to boot. I sometimes on the long climbs here I find myself daydreaming about Independence park back in IL! Challenging technical climb, fast fun technical descent. It could use a little bit of trail work though. Recommended Route: get a map from pamba.org. I like to ride the trails in a clockwise fasion, I think the south side is a more fun downhill then the north side. Other recommended trails in the same area: Dirksen is about a mile away as the bike rides. I'd kill to live in the subdivision between the two parks.

Weekend Warrior Summary: Consists of one main trail with several off-shoots, a lot of which were poorly marked and maintained. The trails that we found were good, and seemed to be either very challenging or easy. There didn't seem to be much in between. Worthwhile to ride if you live nearby. Indy is lucky in being nearby a lot of other trails, so ride it if you come for the other trails. Recommended Route: Park along the road in front of the no motorized vehicle sign. The only way we know this is because others had parked there. Other recommended trails in the same area: Dirksen, Kickapoo near Champaign
