Weekend Warrior Summary: I ride here about every day. its great for log rides. I can do everything at these trails so it gets boring. but im making a whole new trail with better and more technical jumps/planks. my brother and I are making 4 planks with a drop that are pretty hard. great trails =] Other recommended trails in the same area: when you cross oakton make a right at the first trail. its about a 10 min ride if you go fast.

Cross Country Rider Summary: Great relaxing trail thats keeps getting bigger. It now is over 30mile long.
It starts at Riverside rd in Lincolnshire and goes up to Russell Rd just shy of the Wi boarder. Recommended Route: For me i always start at Halfday and is 28.4 miles to the end. during the weekdays the trail is pretty much vacant. so i can pretty much cruise around 30mph with out upseting walkers and horses. You only have to cross 3 or 4 low traffic back roads. Its realitivly flat and very senic. Big Forest preserves that you go through are Halfday, Old School and The best one around Independence Grove. Trails are well marked, and clean. Weekend Warrior Summary: This is a great trail to ride. It is very relaxing. Great for beginners and training for a big race. Recommended Route: The trail is now conected so you can go from chicago to the wisconson border.I think that as you get farther north is gets more senic.

Racer Summary: Great off trail north of talcott bit there is this older man who lives at the corner of dee and touhy that walks his small dog and puts out rocks and large branches on the trail to mess with mountain bikers. watch out from north of higgins to around oakton st. if you see him he will be walking his dog around dusk and will deny it if you confront him about it. otherwise some grat single track around south of algonquin.

, from Deerfield Summary: Ride the sections in Cook County! The Lake County portions are fine, but south of there is where this trail gets wonderful. Its more wooded, more single track, dirt instead of gravel. Oddly, the closer to Chicago you get, the better this trail is to ride and run. Recommended Route: In Cook County!
