Weekend Warrior Summary: With this stacked loop system, everyone from newbies to experienced riders can find some fun stuff. This isn't the most "extreeeem" park by any stretch of the imagination, but the swoopy, hilly, singletrack and the beautiful views of the lake and surrounding woods is worth the trip. CORBA is working hard to install more singletrack throughout this park. The recently added areas off of "bovine", toss great switchback climbs and a fast DH return into the mix. The Comlara Off Road Bicycle Association recently joined with the Peoria MTB club to host a central Illinois XC race series and the racers loved this venue. Go check it out. Recommended Route: Park on the far (west??) side of the lake, at the "log" parking lot. Hit the trails and bike by the numbers...each trail is numbered and maps are available, which makes it extremely difficult to get lost. Other recommended trails in the same area: Northwest to Pekin and Peoria area. Farmdale, Indy, Dirksen, and Jubilee...with Comlara in the mix, there are 5 parks in a 30 minute drive of each other that just make central Illinois ROCK!!

, from Bloomington-Normal, IL Summary: Fun little trail, and they're cutting more all the time. As others have mentioned, the log pyramids and bridges are fun. A series of 3 or 4 ravines, some of them off-camber, near the lake is fun. Others have also been accurate in saying that an expert would have fun, but you could take your girlfriend out there without scaring her silly. Some of the newer sections of singletrack are super twisty and lots of fun. Rumor has it that another couple miles of trails will be built this summer northwest of the dam. Woohoo! One more thing, I think someone else mentioned this as well, but these trails don't do so well when they're wet. They tend to drain a little slowly. The park and the local club ask that you stay off the trails if you're leaving a 1/2 inch rut or more.
Recommended Route: I like to start at the trailhead on Ropp Rd south of the boat launch and just wind my way through till I come out west of the dam. There are lots of interconnected loops here and there.

, from Bloomington, IL Summary: Some pretty steep drops and fun single track. Quite a few bridges to cross(fallen off once into the lake). This trail has a lot to offer. From fairly difficult climbs to some nice winding paths through the forest. It can be done with your fearless friends or your fearful girlfriend. :) Recommended Route: Start right after the dam, this is the west side of the lake. Other recommended trails in the same area: I heard there were some trails at Lake Bloomington, but I didn't find them. If anyone knows of any, email me. jared_morris@illinoispower.com
