This trail is a 16 mile clockwise (or vice versa) loop. Ascend on great sigle/old doubletrack (no trucks have been allowed for decades), through four or five creek crossings, and up to some great switchback sections, Granny gears helpful, singlespeeders need not apply! switch up ad to the right till you reach a "summit", where you will see signs for Mike harris and Fourth of July trails that go off to the left. Do not take these. Really .bear right and rail through the back (south) side of the ridge. Eventually you will ride along the crest of the ridge, the views here are stunning. Now come one of the rippingest 1200ft downhills that you have ever been on. Hold on, this can be tricky at speed! The trail will spit out onto a powerline trail, take a right, an Jam back to the car! Beer time, amigos!

Summary:
I will agree with other reviewers that there are some great aspects to the trail. The views from the top are amazing! The grind up Pole Canyon, not so much, the first mile of the trail GREAT. The second mile up is too steep to enjoy. This was designed to be a motorcycle trail and that is what uses it the most. If you do the loop as described you have some rough power line roads that aren't much fun. Steep up and almost too steep down to enjoy. There are so many better trails in the Teton Valley.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Spooky Creek to Corral Canyon to all sorts of trails.
Horseshoe Canyon
Mike Harris

Summary:
What a workout. I have been mountain biking for about a year, and consider this trail difficult at times... maybe that's because I did the loop on an old single-suspension GT that is barely holding together. Once you grind it out to the to "summit", the downhills are great. The double-wide trail makes it easy to take the turns at speed. There are some rocky sections on the downhill, so you may need to crank down on the brakes every so often. As mentioned above, the views of Teton Valley are spectacular. The ascent is worth it just for that.. bring a camera! The last couple miles are on a loose, gravel power-line road, which I hate to end a ride on. I would recommend doing the counter-clockwise loop instead.

Recommended Route:
I did the clockwise route, but next time would rather do the vice-versa.

Mill Creek, Cache-Game

This trail has about everything that you could want or need in a 16 mi. ride. Absolutely a must if you are in the region. Can be linked to another two or three much longer rides, but very grueling if done. Cervesa!
