Ridden Trail: Ridden Once

Cross Country Rider Summary: Well the trail pretty much starts right at the top just south of Osprey Point and we did a video shoot of this trail on the GoPro HD 960 and this sure is not a "beginner" trail like the person who listed this. It is most certainly "Intermediate" not black diamond or expert level as suggested with Adventure Maps. It is a fun ripping decent down a nice groomed trail but with tight trees and lots of roots and big ones too. Recommended Route: Decend from upper section "Osprey Overlook" down to the southern portion of this trail which dumps you out at the midway point of the Ponderosa State Park. The easiest way to find this trail is to follow the paved road that runs parallel to Payette Lake near the campground then the road becomes a dirt road but stay on it all the way to the summit. Other recommended trails in the same area: Unfortunately the Ponderosa State Park only has that 1 trail that is legal but there are others such as "Duck Lake, Loon Lake, Rim Trail"

, from McCall Summary: This is the rootiest, twistiest, EastCoastiest singletrack in the area. Be careful in the fall when slick leaves cover the roots. If you're a beginner, take your time. If you're advanced, then have a ball. It's quite short, but great afterwork or lunchtime ride. Recommended Route: I prefer to ride Sunrise (dirt road) to Fox Run (double track) climb Huckleberry, then climb the dirtroad to the lookout. Turn around descend Huckleberry and the turn right on FoxRun and head back to the campgrounds or town. 1 hr loop from town depending on your ability. Most people climb the dirtroad to the lookout and descend Huckleberry Other recommended trails in the same area: Rim Ride, Red Ridge, East Fork of Lake Fork, TwentyMile, Loon Lake, ...
