Weekend Warrior Summary: Mix of single track and seldom used fire road. The trail starts with a progressively steep climb with lots of loose rock. The rest of the trail is mostly up and down as it winds through the moutain behind the Galena Lodge. The first half of the trail is the most fun and challenging because of the narrow single track and loose rock. I was pretty gassed after the ride - for a weekend warrior at sea level, the early climbs tired me out.
Great place to stop for a ride and have lunch at the lodge - the food and beer taste great after a ride. Recommended Route: Counter clockwise Other recommended trails in the same area: Warm springs at Sun Valley ski resort

Weekend Warrior Summary: Steep, churned, rocky and loose, hot, horseflies and horsesh!t. With so much great riding in the Ketchum area, why bother? They do have a restaurant and very helpful bike shop so do stop in for a tube and a burger on your way back from a great ride around Stanley or Ketchum.
