This is fun area to play in in the spring and fall. There are many loops and small variations that can be made to this set of fire roads and single tracks. The coolest path I have found is climbing along the ridge of the canyon via fire road and then down the "oh shi@" hill. This is very fast and steep and almost undoable in the middle of the dusty summer season. Lots of fun though! Turn to the right sharply after the decent and follow the single track along the side of the basalt cliffs. You will eventually run into "the woops" and have a fun rollercoaster type experience out to your car. Unless people are using the area for shooting practise or the motorcycles are in the way. Lots of variations to this trail, make up your own route!

You will see a fire road in the middle of a farm field to park near. Ride up this road 1 mile until you reach top of hill with repeater antenae on it(to the south). THis is were the oh @#$% hill is . Go down this and follow single tracks to left or right. Make way to right after some climbing and follow single track back to car

Summary:
Great ride, starts out with an easy grade to get your legs and lungs warmed up. After riding uphill for a couple miles it levels out and you have endless posiibilities of where youd like to go. There is some NASTY downhill portions and some great single track after you get up the fire road a bit. I turned the ride into about 14 miles and I loved evry minute of it even at 42 degrees and SW wind at 18-20 mph (welcome to SE Idaho) It will be one of my regular rides from now on. The only problem I can see is that Ill bet weekends are full of motocross guys because there is some awesome places for motorcycles. I went on a Wed afternoon and didnt see a soul.
