Head up the canyon for as far as your legs can take you. There are a lot of side trails that shoot off the main road and all of them offer great riding and a lot of fun. My favorite is "Five Mile Creek" it is designated by a big gate that goes across a road that comes in from the left. The best way to hit it is from the top!!!

Summary:
You will get stuck if you try it in the winter. It's not an open road and is only used by snowmobiles! The road is busy in the summer and only one lane, watch it on the corners for cars. The trail has several water crossings, and some neat scenery but gets plenty hot. Baby heads abound, run medium pressure and look for other trails to ride in the same area for more fun.

Recommended Route:
Follow the asphalt til it ends and park on the road side, approx. 2 miles up the road is the trailhead marked by a stream and a gate on your left. Trail starts here !

Other recommended trails in the same area:
If you feel like sticking to the road and have the legs, keep on the single lane and head over the mountain to Lucky Peak and stop in the cafe for a coke. When the road is graded and moist, it's a fast downhill !!!

Summary:
We got stuff and had to abdandon our vehicle for three days. Not even a tow truck could get us out. Recommend 4WD, chains, chains, and more chains.

Recommended Route:
Yes, in the summertime!
