8 miles one way ending at an alpine lake, great easy climbing singletrack !
From Idaho City, go 18 miles to Edna Creek campground, right turn on FS #384 for six miles to #348, go left 8 miles to #372, left again for a couple hundred yards and park. Trail starts behind sign on left side of road.
Summary: This trail is actually a total of 9.2 miles round trip. For the first 1.5 miles be prepared to hike n' bike. There is a great deal of fallen timber and the single track turns into a steep 1/2 track with lots of washouts and sandy spots. After that the next few miles are great easy climbing and some nice views. The last 1/4 mile is pretty much a cliff that is also fairly unrideable. Then you hit the small alpine lake. It makes for some nice vistas. The way back once you get past the cliff part is an awesome constant downhill. It can get pretty hairy the last 1.5 miles.
Recommended Route: From Idaho City, go 18 miles to Edna Creek campground, right turn on FS #384 for six miles to #348, go left 8 miles to #372, left again for a couple hundred yards and park. Trail starts behind sign on left side of road.
