Devil's Slide

Some shade at the top, unlike every other trail in the foothills. Starts out with a mild descent tith some really sandy patches. Turns into a sweet, somewhat technical descent. Ends at any point along crestline, or as far as town.

Summary:
Did this trail as the only one listed with any decent reviews. We rode the 8th st climb to the top. It was a grind. Of course I was on the cheapest rental bike I've ever ridden. It was so cheap it came with a kick stand. After that b*tch of a climb we did the whole downhill. This was June 19th, and the motorcycles made the trail loose as all get out already. It is a long decent and there are tons of moto whoops. I wouldn't classify anything as technical or steep(maybe a bit here and there, but nothing to write home about). I would advise finding another way to get to the top and any other decents that don't allow motos.

Recommended Route:
Don't know but anything other than 8th st has got to be better.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
None ridden.

Summary:
Deep motorcycle whoops are one alluring feature of this trail. A strict thursday night ritual during the summer. Trail must be ridden from the ridge via 8th st. to gain full appreciation. Good speed sections with whoops, nice rock section through the slide, nutty butt puckering steeps with nothing on one side of you. Best ridden with a full face, at least some armor, 6-8 inches of travel and as many friends you can wrangle up. Dave shuttles in the summer months 208-343-0208

Recommended Route:
8th st to ridge rd (in van), ridge to town (pickin' bugs out of your teeth)
