Steep, fun winding route through the trees. Takes you right back into town. Only a few miles long but lots of side trails when you get near the bottom. These trails were originally cut by MX riders who knew what they were doing. A mtb. racer from Europe commented that these were some of the best trails he'd been on, but that's a secret, sssshhhhh !
Start the ride in Idaho City parking at the air port (west on Wall street and across the creek) then ride to the Placerville Road. When you get to the dump, look for a sign on a tree on the downhill side, this is the entrance to the trail. Stick to the main trail, don't pay attention to side trails.
