Ridden Trail:
Once a year

Summary:
This is a very fun, varied trail. It's rated "advanced" in the books, but varies between buff, fast single-track that is beginner to intermediate, to some truly advanced switchbacks on the way down to the Secesh River, and some rocky challenges along the river. Loon Lake itself is beautiful. The ride is very scenic, lotsa fun.

Recommended Route:
Counter-clockwise from the bridge at the campground

Summary:
A good beginner to intermediate longer ride.

Recommended Route:
Park at the end of the pavement on Warren Wagon and take FS road that peels off to the right (it's either 364 or 346 - can't remember) - take it about 4.5 miles and then go left on the Loon Lake trail - another 5 miles to the lake, and then take the trail that heads back to the Secesh river and then back to the Chinook Campground - another 9 miles on Warren Wagon and you got yourself a good 23.5 mile ride.

Summary:
Kerry, the rest of the bomber is on land about 100 yards in from the lake. It's amazingly intact too considering the crash and skid across the frozen lake into the trees.

Recommended Route:
I prefer not to cross the river, but to ride to the bridge and climb to Loon Lake. Usually I'll return this way too. The Ruby Meadow route is fun too.

Summary:
This is a great, varied ride. Lots of scenery both forest and mtn. Couple of stream crossings and lots of stumps. At the far side of the loop there's a great picnic spot by the lake, where a small WW2 bomber crashed - you can still see one of the wings sticking out of the water if you look closely. Have fun and bring lotsa H20.

Recommended Route:
Park at the campground, cross the stream and go! Trail begins on other side.
