Trail Directions
Drive/ride out Warm Springs road, turn right just after the Hidelburg Hotel, where the road T's head left, you'll see singletrack on your right. This takes you up the saddle into Adams Gulch, after peaking and heading into Adams, look for a trail to the Left (shady side, this singletrack mirrors the road that you'd otherwise take. It will spit you out on the dirt road after 2-3 miles. Go left once on road, follow it out till a fork, go right. Then you'll begin heading into the shady climb to the top. Once there you'll have to take a minute to check the view. Enjoy the 3.5 mile trip down to the trailhead parking lot. Go Left at the fork near the bottom for a little extra singletrack. Look out for walkers, dogs, and slower riders, many people use this trail! From the lot, look for singletrack opposite the river, cross and ride a little ways back to the fork i told you to go left on near the beginning. Small climb to the Hidelburg crest, take the singletrack down.

Summary:
I'd stay off this trail unless you're drinkin beer walking your dog. Hikers everywhere, if you ride in adams you're just hurting the Mtn Biking name. Go to Boise instead

Other recommended trails in the same area:
lots of great road riding, not much mtn biking here.

Summary:
Go farther in to avoid people on foot, dogs, etc.

Recommended Route:
I recommend that bikers stay off the Sunny Side trail, which is mentioned above as the trail across the valley once into Adam's Gulch. It's one course of decent if you loop back to the parking area after completing the Shady Side but there are lots of hikers, people walking their dogs on that portion of these trail. Basically, anything within 2 miles of the parking lot is more for hikers than bikers. Best is to cross the creek at the end of Shady and take the first left into the gully toward Griffin Butte and back down the higher trail sort of paralells the lower trail. Or, you can return on the jeep trail but go slow...people walk dogs without leashes, walk children, etc. There is tons of fun stuff back there if you willing to ride 5+...and way fewer hiker/dogs, etc. it connects with Lake Creek. Then when you come back return to the jeep trail to descend to the parking area and or hook back up with the trail that goes over to the Heidelberg (note correct spelling). Again, peddle out a little before starting your knarly decents. These are multi-use trails.

Summary:
Great climbs, fun downhills. Watch for switchbacks, ground is always dry, don't skid.

Recommended Route:
Same as above, or go from trailhead. Hidelburg way does add some quality climbing.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Hidelburg-Hulen-Fox Creek. Good climbs, short but sweet downhill.
