Downhiller Summary: The trail is fairly challenging with many tight switch backs on the way down and lots of up hill pushing/carrying on the way up. Tons of roots, which were kind of fun on a full suspension bike. Lots of boulders, good view from the top. One way up, one way down. Turn around at the shack and come back the way you came. Better for hiking than DH biking. Too short of a descend for all the pushing/carrying.
I would not come back to this trail. Recommended Route: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=Kuliouou+Rd&daddr=Kalaau+Pl&geocode=FXbNRAEd81WZ9g%3BFW4PRQEd9lGZ9g&hl=en&mra=dme&mrcr=0&mrsp=0&sz=15&sll=21.292613,-157.725735&sspn=0.020233,0.038409&ie=UTF8&z=15
Up Kuliouou Rd, right on Kalaau Pl and all the way to the end. Other recommended trails in the same area: St. Louis trai is a must

, from Honolulu, Hawaii Summary: Enjoy the workout getting up this trail (riding and hiking). Watch out for the the rocks and roots that seem to love to grab pedals, watch for the tight switchbacks (not a concern if you take the trail into haihahone valley), and steep sides to the trail. Look for the side trail to haihahone (think i'm spelling it wrong) when you get into the pine trees, it is by a challenging climb that sweeps to the right and the regular trail cuts back to the left. The Haihaone trail is that little climb right in-front of as you complete the climb. This is an AWESOME trail if you are looking for a technical challenge. RIDER BEWARE!!!!TAKE IT SLOW YOUR FIRST TIME SO YOU DON"T BIFF IT BAD WHERE THE TRAIL TURNS SUDDENLY!!!! Recommended Route: Read the others reviews...you'll get the idea Other recommended trails in the same area: Mililani, St. Louis

, from rochester minnesota Summary: Make sure you bring tubes and air because of the keawe bushes. Because of the climb, I wouldn't ride it with a dualie. Hardtail with skinny tires to save energy. Recommended Route: Start off in town and go along Kalanianiole to get a good warm up. It sucks climbing this when your not loosened up. Other recommended trails in the same area: Bike trails

, from kailua, HI Summary: this is a nice hike up, so if you got the stamina do mariner's ridge the next block down too. have fun at the jump/drop playground at the shack. when going down be aware of tight carving and no shame if you dismount a few times, better than falling off. Fun trail Recommended Route: being a singletrack, you go up and come down. heard about some nice terrain on the backside. Other recommended trails in the same area: mariner's ridge
