Plenty of fire road and singletrack to explore. Lava rock, moss and roots---for all abilities. There is a lengthier description on the Big Island Mountain Biking ASSN website.

Summary:
Windy loops through mainly gently sloping terrain located in a forest south of Hilo. Surface is covered with moss, small lava rock, roots and small logs/branches. Very fun and something for everyone. There is also plenty of fire road for those new to the activity.

Take the forest road marked quarry and just head out on any of the singletracks that branch off.

Finish with a Jamba Juice near the mall on the way back to Hilo or go shortly past the turnoff for the airport and hit up ken's Pancakes (open 24 hrs).

Recommended Route:
Just explore.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Get the Alford Book, Mountain Biking Hawaii or some such. He lists several trails on the big island that would seem interesting.
